In the 20s of the last century, when the park was founded, there was already a city garden in the city, laid down even before the Revolution. However, due to the rapid population growth, this recreation was not enough. And in 1926, they began to lay the foundation for a new park.

In April 2018, an updated hydraulic structure was opened in the Maksim Gorky Park in Melitopol, which has become a real decoration of these territories.

The first fountain in this place was opened in the first half of the last century. Gradually, it was transformed or replaced by other designs.
Today friends and lovers like to meet near the fountain "with history". Families with small children and elderly people often walk here, teenagers ride bicycles or scooters, local beauties and guests of the city are photographed.
Water splash, multi-colored lights and music can brighten up an evening walk. A landscaped area with lush trees and benches will keep you cool on a hot day.
In addition to the fountain, the park named after M. Gorky also gives other opportunities for recreation. So, for example, on the territory there are various attractions of varying degrees of extreme, as well as playgrounds for very young visitors and a prize shooting gallery.

Climbing on the Ferris wheel, which is also located here, you can see the surroundings from a bird's eye view.

And walking along the "Fairy Tales Alley" you can get into the country of childhood with your favorite fairy-tale and cartoon characters, which you can touch and photograph.
