Sevastopol is able to amaze anyone with the abundance and variety of its attractions, rich and heroic history, unique nature and colorful architecture.
The picturesque Sevastopol Bay juts out into the territory of the peninsula for 7.5 km. Its width reaches about 1 km, which makes this place convenient for the location of the seaport. That is why the bay was chosen to host the Black Sea Fleet.
All year round, you can go on a boat trip from Sevastopol along the coast, as well as to the surrounding settlements and locations (for example, Inkerman).

The boulevard was built in the 19th century as a recreational area. From here, a stunning view of the bay opens, as well as the famous Monument to the Scuttled Ships. On the territory of the boulevard, cultural events and holidays are often held. So, for example, it is in this place that the annual Sevastopol Ball named after I. Fyodor Ushakov, which is timed to coincide with the celebration of the Great Victory. There is a large number of cozy cafes, colorful restaurants and shops near the boulevard. Here you can often see street artists and musicians.
Those who are fond of Russian history should definitely visit the memorial complex "Malakhov Kurgan". This is a monument to the history of the Crimean and Great Patriotic Wars, which is located at the highest point of the city, from where, among other things, a stunning panorama of the South Bay and its surroundings opens. A large number of monuments to the heroes participating in the defense of Sevastopol are located here. On the territory there is a tower of the XIX century, which houses a museum exhibition with artifacts on a military theme.
