One of the newest tourist locations in Sevastopol is Uchkuevka Park. It appeared on the northern side of the Sevastopol Bay in 2019 and immediately became a popular place for recreation and leisure for citizens and tourists.
Before the appearance of the new complex, there was already a park here, but its territory was neglected and uncomfortable. The decision to build a new multifunctional park was made by the authorities to increase the tourist popularity of the northern side of the city, which, although it is a historical region of Sevastopol, due to its location, developed poorly. Although some of the best sandy beaches are located on the territory of Uchkuevka, there were practically no places for recreation here.
The new park, in addition to its direct purpose to become a space for year-round recreation of citizens of all ages, was also created with the aim of arranging a pedestrian space to the sea, preserving the historical territory, and highlighting a unique location. Therefore, the park in Uchkuevka received several scenarios of use at once - as a city park, a green zone in an urban environment, a site for walking to the sea, cultivating a healthy lifestyle and useful leisure activities among young people.
The layout of the park is represented by three alleys, complemented by a looped route and various sites. It will take about an hour to walk the entire park on foot. But if you use each platform, the walk will take a whole day or more.
At the central entrance there is one of the six surviving Crimean monuments - the Catherine Mile. Such pillars were installed along the route of Catherine the Great during her trip to the peninsula in the 18th century.
Free parking for 130 cars is located nearby. In order to have enough parking spaces during the high season, the road adjacent to the park was widened to allow vehicles to be parked along the carriageway. You can also park your car in a small pocket when entering the park.
Those who travel by public transport will also find it convenient to get to the location. A public transport stop is nearby.
The entrance to the park is equipped with a semicircular wooden canopy. There is a swing on the right, a glass pavilion-cafe on the left. There are also information boards with a detailed plan of the park.
The territory is divided into three zones. There is an observation deck in the center. On the left side there is a children's area with a variety of attractions and playgrounds. On the right - there are sports grounds for teenagers and adults.
