This insurance policy will cover medical expenses (including quarantine measures) if a tourist has been found to have COVID-19 during a stay in the UAE.
You can use the insurance coverage within a month of the first flight on the chosen route. The policy is designed for up to 150,000 euros (for medical expenses) and up to 100 euros per day (for 14 days of quarantine expenses).
In the Maldives, a certificate of absence of coronavirus has not been required since the opening of tourist borders (from 15.07.2020). But since 31.08.2020 the rules of visiting the islands by foreign tourists have changed.
Starting from 19.09.2020, each visitor must carry a negative test on COVID-19, which was done no later than 96 hours before the day of arrival in the host country.
In addition, it is worth bearing in mind that restrictions on travel between the islands are removed only for hotels that have passed state certification. The owner of the facility must obtain the appropriate permission from the Ministry of Tourism of the Maldives at least 2 days before the settlement. This is worth remembering when booking a holiday.
