In 2021, the world will see a new supersonic passenger airliner

In 2021, the world will see a new supersonic passenger airliner The last active passenger plane, which was faster than the speed of light, was flying between the United States and the United Kingdom. It was a French liner "Concorde" flying from New York to London in a little less than 3.5 hours. This time span was half that of a conventional aircraft. The vessel was withdrawn from the flight in 2003 due to expensive maintenance, heavy fuel consumption and the complex occupancy of the 100-seat cabin. In addition, the price of the flight was also very high. About 10.5 thousand U.S.
Another similar liner - Tu-144, developed in Russia operated a little more than 6 months.
Today, a start-up company from the United States has developed a new solution, rethinking the concept of flying at supersonic speeds. Start-ups presented a prototype of the future aircraft under the working name of the HV-1.
The vessel is about 22 meters long, and the outer part of its hull can be heated during a jet flight up to 120-130 degrees Celsius. Therefore, the material, which is covered with aircraft, is designed for a temperature of more than 150 degrees. At the same time, the climate inside the ship will remain unchanged. The first tests of the fuselage will start in the summer of 2021.
The aircraft is able to travel the distance between Paris and Montreal in less than 4 hours, and the flight from Los Angeles to Sydney will take only 8.5 hours. For comparison, a direct flight to this direction, where the Boeing 777 operates, today is more than 15 hours.
Another distinctive feature of the new development is the average height of its ascent is 18 thousand meters above the ground, and the speed of 1224 km/h. While the current liners fly at an altitude of 9-11 thousand meters at a speed of 850-900 km/h. The higher the speed of flight, the less air resistance due to its thinning. This means that the load on the ship is also reduced. Therefore, the external elements will overheat less, which will reduce fuel consumption.
Air transport experts noted that the target audience for flights in the ship HV-1 will depend on ticket prices.

More than 30 people flying on a Hawaiian Airlines plane were recently injured due to being caught in a zone of severe turbulence. Such events are extremely rare. However, airline crews take this possibility very seriously. Therefore, passengers should also know what this phenomenon is and how to behave when they find themselves in turbulence.
