Four keys to the rescue of world tourism are named
A recent report by experts from the World Travel and Tourism Council discussed four key points that need to be addressed in order to save the tourism industry, which is on the brink of disaster. Thus, according to the latest opinion polls and studies of the Council, 70% of avid tourists from North America said that they would be able to book tickets during the pandemic if the changes to dates or other parameters were free.
Also, 90% of respondents said that they treat personal health recommendations with great confidence. And another 69% of tourists consider disinfection and cleanliness as the key to successful tourism in the future.
Among the survey participants, 45% said that they can limit all contacts on the way to the place of rest, for example, switching to electronic passports instead of paper passports. And 73% of respondents said they would willingly order services or goods from brands that have settled in the crisis associated with the pandemic of coronavirus. Consumers believe that such companies can be trusted.
Based on the data, the experts assessed the actions that can be taken in order to resume active tourism in the world. The Council also noted several key issues that need to be worked out in order not to disappear from the market and help it to revive:
Review and constant monitoring of consumer demand;
Health, hygiene, cleanliness;
Application of innovative and digital technologies
Stability.
The report also states that a comprehensive and coordinated effort is needed to restore the sphere. It is important to improve the existing conditions for tourists, introduce new solutions and technologies, accept global health requirements. It is also necessary for the state and private business to act together in this direction.
