TOP-7 modern buildings in Russia, striking in their beauty and scale Among the most beautiful objects that have been built in Russia since the beginning of the 21st century are bridges.

The Russian Bridge in Vladivostok is a true masterpiece of engineering. It was put into operation three years after the start of construction (in 2012). This structure turned out to be so impressive that it even appeared on the new 2000 banknotes.

The length of the Russian Bridge reaches 2 km, and the length, including overpasses, is over 3 km. The central channel span reaches a length of 1.1 km. This figure is the largest on the planet (for this kind of structures).

Another famous bridge, the construction of which caused a real information boom in the media, is the Crimean one, which was thrown across the Kerch Strait to connect the Crimean peninsula with the mainland of Russia. It has become an alternative way to get to the Crimean coast, replacing the traditional ferry service.

The construction of the Crimean Bridge began in 2016. In 2018, a road connection was launched, followed by a railway route.

The highlight of the structure was the leading height of the piles. In some sections of the crossing, it reaches more than 90 meters. The total length of the bridge is 20 km, which made it the longest in Russia in the entire history of the construction of such facilities.

About 230 billion rubles were allocated for the construction of the Crimean bridge.

Another grandiose object, which appeared in 2019, has a similar meaning. These are Turkish and Nord Stream, as well as Power of Siberia. They are a huge gas pipeline with a length of about 3000 km. Gas is supplied to Europe and China via the pipeline. All 3 facilities were commissioned in 2019. At the same time, an expansion is planned for Nord Stream, thanks to which Russia will be able to supply over 100 billion cubic meters of natural gas, becoming the new world leader in the extraction and processing of this raw material.
