TOP-10 sights of the world, which have analogues in Crimea. Part 4

TOP-10 sights of the world, which have analogues in Crimea. Part 4 Crimea is multifaceted and amazing, like the whole world. No wonder there are even those sights that can be seen only in overseas countries. Traveling around the peninsula, you can come across a smaller version of the Grand Canyon, like in America. And a larger version of the Australian pink lake. Famous Stonehenge and Greek Amphitheater.

There is in the Crimea and its own cave of Swallows, where those who travel around Mexico strive to get. The Mexican landmark is a 49 * 62 meter karst sinkhole. The total volume of the cave allows one of the skyscrapers in New York to be freely accommodated there. At the edge of an unimaginable well, swifts make nests, which outwardly resemble swallows. This feature of the two species of birds served as the name for the cave.

Crimea has its own bottomless cave (Topsyus-Khosar), which is located on the Chatyr-Dag plateau. Of course, the size of the Crimean well is inferior to the Mexican one. But, despite this, the attraction attracts thousands of thrill-seekers here. A dark hole, opened at the bottom of a karst funnel with a diameter of 200 m, is somewhat reminiscent of a mystical portal.

The "bottomless" was studied for a very long time. The main reasons were the lack of the necessary equipment, as well as banal human fear.

Today it has been established that the depth of the Crimean cave reaches 195 meters. During the winter months, a visit to the cave is life-threatening, as a thick build-up of ice forms on the walls of the well. It is noteworthy that even in summer there is a “slide” of snow at the bottom of the well.

Another attraction that attracts caving enthusiasts is in Malaysia. This is a complex of giant caves, including the largest cave hall with an area of 163 thousand m2. It is located in Lubang Nasib Bagus Cave and is called Sarawak Grotto. Experts say it can hold up to 50 transport planes.

The Crimean peninsula has its own record-breaking caves. One of them is the Marble Cave with its Cave-in Hall. Its length reaches 100 m, and its height is equal to a 9-storey building. Almost all the space here is covered with powerful boulders, and the farthest part of the Landfall Hall is called the “Hall of Pearl Lakes”. This place boasts unique acoustics.

The collection is completed by the Giants' Bridge in Ireland, which is a stone field of volcanic rock, similar to a road paved with slabs. This place is also compared to a honeycomb of basalt hexagonal columns closely pressed to each other. In total, there are more than 40 thousand such blocks. The highest of them is 12 meters. This unique place stretches for 300 meters along the coast and goes 500 meters deep into the Atlantic.

Anyone who travels around Crimea is recommended to see Cape Fiolent. In addition to the stunning seascapes, to the right of the pristine Jasper Beach there are volcanic stone pillars similar to Irish.
