Dykhtau or as it is called by the locals "Jagged Mountain" – the second highest peak in Russia (5204 meters). It is located between the borders of Georgia and Kabardino-Balkaria. Dykhtau is considered one of the most dangerous mountain ranges for climbing in the world. Almost all of its slopes are steep. In addition, landslides and avalanches often occur on them.

Koshtantau takes the honorable third place – 5152 meters. This is one of the most inaccessible peaks of the Caucasus. But to see the unique nature and relief of this place, it is worth overcoming all the difficulties. Especially fascinating are the marble glaciers located on the northern slopes.

Pushkin Peak – 5033 meters and 4th place. It received its name in honor of the 100th anniversary of the death of the great poet. The peak is located in the very center of the main Caucasus mountain range. Professional climbers, speaking of the peak, often refer to it as the gendarme on the ridge. In comparison with the other elevations of the ridge, it is much higher.

And closes the top five of the highest peaks in Russia – Dzhangitau (5085 meters). It is located in the middle of the huge mountain complex of the Bezengi Wall. For its conquest, many climbers receive their first award and the honorary title of "Snow Leopard of the Russian Federation".
