The final destination will be the historic part of Cairo. 60 million Egyptian pounds have been allocated for the project. With these funds, historical objects will be reconstructed, new roads and all necessary infrastructure will be built.
Also in 2021 in Old Cairo is planned to open for tourists Kara aqueduct. The structure, built in the early 14th century on the orders of Sultan Muhammad al-Nasir, was intended to supply water to a large fortress. The hydraulic structure lasted for 3.4 kilometers. The object is almost completely cleared and suitable for inspection. The Ministry of Tourism along the entire aqueduct plans to green and ennoble the territory, to place entertainment establishments, workshops, eateries and souvenir shops.
