The Stuttgart TV Tower was the first TV tower in the world, the structure of which consists of reinforced concrete. Later this German building served as an example for the construction of TV buildings around the world. The TV tower is located in the south-eastern district of the city (on the hill Hoher Bopser in Degerloch). The construction of this television project begins on February 5, 1956. The construction process lasted for 20 months. Radio station S'ddeutscher Rundfunk has taken on the role of commissioning a new TV tower. From that moment to the present day, FM broadcasting from the Stuttgart TV tower, and digital broadcasting fell into private hands. Fernmeldeturm Stuttgart has owned this service since 2006. Since the opening of Stuttgart TV Tower, there has been much debate about whether the TV tower is a tourist attraction in Stuttgart. But, in a short period of time, everything fell into place, as the increased interest of guests of Stuttgart immediately described the TV tower as one of the most attractive tourist spots. Stuttgart TV Tower has two viewing platforms that offer panoramic views of the whole of Stuttgart. From here you can see the woodlands of the city, the plantations of vineyards, as well as the surrounding areas of the Schwab Alba and the Black Forest. In 2009, there was a historic event - the municipality of the city decided to make the TV tower in the list of historical monuments of engineering and architectural art in Germany.
