Stuttgart International Airport is located 12 km south of the city, the capital of the federal state of Baden-Wuerttemberg. The air harbour has more than seventy years of history. The airport was built in 1939, and six years later was given to the control of the U.S. Air Force, which has here and to this day its own helicopter base. Not far from the air hub is the Stuttgart Trade Fair, one of the largest in Germany. In this regard, Stuttgart Airport occupies the 6th most important place in Germany, and its passenger traffic exceeds 10 million passengers per year.
60 airlines fly from Stuttgart Airport to more than 110 destinations. Since 2012, Aeroflot has been flying daily to Stuttgart from Sheremetyevo. There are 4 passenger terminals at Stuttgart International Airport. Terminals 1, 2 and 3 are located in the same building and are connected by corridors.

No1 is mainly used by German carriers Lufthansa and Germanwings.
No2 Is small compared to other terminals, it also serves Germanwings flights.
No3 Is the second largest terminal, accepts flights from Air Berlin, KLM and other airlines.
No4 Is located in a separate building, but connected by a junction with the rest of the terminals. Used to service charter flights.
