The web camera broadcasts live broadcasting online overlooking the intersection of Lenin-Busalov streets in the city of Lahdenpohya.  Lahdenpohya is a small district centre in Karelia. According to the results of archaeological excavations, people inhabited the region 2,000 years ago. And by 1323 these lands became part of the Novgorod Republic.

There was a small village of Yakkima for 168 yards, whose inhabitants fished, sowed bread. But constant Swedish raids forced most people to hide behind the thick walls of monasteries. The village was deserted, and in 1616 Sweden left. During the Northern War, it became Russian again, and after 1917 - Finnish. In 1924, Sieclahti became an independent settlement and was renamed Lahdenpohya, meaning "the end of the bay." After the Finnish War it became the territory of the USSR, but in 1941 it was occupied, and only in 1944 these places finally retreated to the USSR.
