The city of Grozny, whose webcams can be viewed online on this site, is a relatively young settlement, whose history begins in the first half of the 19th century.
Then the fortress of the same name was built, which marked the beginning of the history of the future Chechen capital.
Despite its young age by historical standards, Grozny is able to impress its guests with an abundance of unique historical sites and interesting sights, as well as stunning architecture.
One of the important monuments of the republican capital is the Memorial to those who died in the 10-year Chechen war.
There is still no exact information on the number of deaths during the counter-terrorist operation. But according to various sources, they number in the thousands.
The opening of the monument took place on May 9, 2010. The monument was erected on the square named after the first president of Chechnya. Previously, there was a presidential residence owned by Dzhokhar Dudayev. However, during the fighting, the building was blown up.
The composition of the Memorial includes 38 black stones, on which the names of soldiers who fell in the fight against terrorism are carved. In the center of the circle of stones is a high monolithic block, the weight of which reaches 70 tons. The inscription "Let justice prevail" is carved on it.
The “Heart of Chechnya” mosque, which is recognized not only as one of the most beautiful, but also one of the largest Muslim temples on the planet, has incredible beauty and color.
When creating the project, the mosques were guided by the architectural appearance of the Turkish analogue of Sultanahmed.
The most luxurious materials were purchased for the construction of the building. These are snow-white marble, bronze, gold and even Swarovski crystals imported from Turkey. The inner halls of the temple were decorated with skillful frescoes, which were created using special compositions of paints that preserve the image in its original form for many years. Luxurious bronze chandeliers inlaid with gold and expensive Swarovski crystals were installed as lighting fixtures in the Heart of Chechnya.
Graceful minarets rise on four sides of the mosque, the height of which reaches more than 60 meters. The mosque overlooks a spacious square, which, together with the temple itself, covers an area of 14 hectares.
Grozny webcams, which you can watch online on this site, will allow you to see this outstanding landmark from anywhere in the world where there is Internet.
