The picturesque resort village of Dagomys, whose webcams are available on the site, is located in the Krasnodar Territory.
To be more precise, not far from Sochi on the Black Sea coast. Unlike the well-known city, there are fewer tourists, hustle and bustle, but enough entertainment and attractions.
Among natural places, the Baranovsky Complex is considered popular. It is located 9 km from the center of the village. This is a developed place of recreation, there are many picnic spots, sheds and playgrounds. The complex stretches along the river for almost two kilometers. On its territory there are also several reservoirs in which you can swim, and waterfalls. The water in the lakes is clean and cool. Considering that subtropical forests and rocks are located around, the area is extremely picturesque. And the air is filled with the aroma of plants and useful trace elements. There are a lot of people here in summer because the place is very comfortable.
An unusual architectural landmark of Dagomys, whose webcams in real time make it possible to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of relaxation, is considered by the Krestovaya Hermitage monastery.
In 1997, the monks of the Valaam Monastery formed an Orthodox skete in the mountains. Three years later, they laid the first stone of the future religious building. At the same time, the project of a local architect was implemented by Serbian builders. The male monastery is considered a symbol of the unity of the peoples of Russia and Serbia. On the territory of the monastery there are marble slabs on which texts are engraved in two languages. The main place of the complex is the Temple in honor of the Exaltation of the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord. Adjacent to it is a refectory, cells of monks, a house church. The monastery was built and decorated in the Athonite style. There are mosaics and icons framed by candles on the walls.
Tourists should also visit Koshman's house-museum. He was the first who began to grow tea in the North Caucasus. Having arrived in these places in 1900, Juda Antonovich (that was the name of Koshman) acquired the surrounding land and planted tea. Since he already had experience in growing this crop, he began to experiment, and he managed to develop a frost-resistant tea variety. By the way, in the early years, he tried to protect the bushes from the cold and wind, simply wrapping them up. Thanks to Koshman's developments, tea plantations were able to spread throughout the entire North Caucasus. In the former estate of Judas Antonovich, over time, a museum was opened, which presents photographs, documents and items of his life. There is also an exhibition of tea accessories. At the end of the tour, you can visit the tasting of local tea.
