Thailand is developing an alternative to a two-week quarantine for tourists

Thailand is developing an alternative to a two-week quarantine for tourists Health officials in Thailand said that tourists will now be able to not undergo mandatory self-isolation in a hotel room for 14 days after arriving at the country's resorts. Instead, several provincial tour programs have been developed for them to choose from.
Specific areas for holidaymakers are still being discussed. But, of course, in the first place is the safety of not only tourists, but also the Thai population.
All agencies that choose to implement the project will have to be certified to comply with the rules and regulations. And each newly arrived tourist will be equipped with an electronic bracelet, allowing you to track the location at any time.
Travel agencies that receive holidaymakers will be appointed responsible for complying with the regulations.
The authorities also stressed that in any deviation from the established route and changes of the measures developed, the tourist faces quarantine and isolation.
One of the main difficulties in the way of realizing the idea is the need to divide the flow of indigenous people and guests, which should not intersect.
Some Thai provinces have already declared their readiness to receive tourists under a new special program. Among them are Phuket, Rayong, Chonburi and others.
Tai is open to tourists from October 15 to 90-day visas with the possibility of extension. At the moment, to enter Thailand, you must undergo mandatory testing on COVID-19, the result of which must be issued no earlier than 72 hours before crossing the border. Another necessary document - a ticket or other paper confirming the reservation of a hotel room and a return ticket.
While the program is still being finalized, all foreign visitors staying in Tai must spend 2 weeks in isolation, after which they can move freely around the country.
Tourism experts are confident that an alternative to classical self-isolation will help attract more tourists to Thailand. After all, the program provides excursions, tastings, medical and massage procedures from the first day.
