Uglich, whose webcams are available online on this site, is one of the most popular destinations for domestic travel.

The main attraction of the city is the complex of the Uglich Kremlin, on the territory of which many ancient temples and other buildings dating back to the Middle Ages have been preserved.
There are also more modern facilities in Uglich. For example, the museum of hydropower. It was founded already in the 21st century and, with the help of interactive expositions, demonstrates amazing facts about the hydropower of the city, the country and the whole world.
Museum visitors can learn about how hydroelectric power plants work. And what is the difference between dams, locks and dams. Also here you can find out how this area has developed since the earliest period in history.
The exposition of the museum is located in 11 halls, occupying a three-story building. Outside, you can see the famous wheel of the Uglich hydroelectric power station, the mass of which reaches 120 tons.

The main square of the city is Uspenskaya Square.

Once it was called Trade and occupied more territory. But after the Assumption Church was destroyed due to a fire, the square was renamed. This happened just in the period of the formation of Soviet power. Rumor has it that the merchants themselves set the fire, not wanting to share their business with the Bolsheviks.
Today, Uspenskaya Square hosts important city events. In the summer, children's attractions are launched. And in the winter months, a skating rink with a city tree in the middle is flooded.
Around Uspenskaya Square there is a whole string of various architectural monuments. They have cafes and shops. But, nevertheless, the graceful appearance of these buildings creates a special atmosphere that a huge number of tourists seek to feel.
Details and interesting facts from the city chronicle can be found by visiting the small private Museum of the History of Uglich. The exposition was created by local residents of Kulagina. The collection is of particular value, as it illustrates little studied historical periods. Here you can see old items of clothing, models of architectural monuments, weapons. A large collection of artifacts refers to the theme of the Second World War. In the courtyard of the museum there is an open exhibition of interesting exhibits, including a copy of the tower of the lost Uglich Kremlin.

If there is no time, money or desire to go to these parts yet, Uglich webcams will help you to have an interesting time by taking a virtual walk through this colorful city.
