Live webcam is located in the village of Leninsky (Sharya, Kostroma region).
The lens enters the playground near the Rembytservice building. The broadcast is carried out in real time. Therefore, you can observe both the situation on the playground or the weather, and walk around another city without leaving your home.
Sharya, whose webcams can be viewed in real time on this site, is a relatively young city.
Therefore, there are no centuries-old architectural monuments or any outstanding sights. Most of the local monuments are associated with the railway and the history of its construction, or with religion.
There are three Orthodox churches on the territory of the city of Sharya.
The oldest of them is the wooden church of St. Nicholas, which was built in the 19th century. During the period of the Bolshevik persecution, the temple was destroyed to the ground. The Museum of Local Lore was built on the previous foundation. After the collapse of the USSR, the temple was given to the believers, and the museum was moved to another building. At that time, the church was not much like traditional temple buildings. Large-scale reconstruction and transformation of the building was carried out already in our time at the initiative of local entrepreneurs, owners of woodworking enterprises.
In addition to the Nicholas Church, the city is home to the Alekseevsky and Nativity of Christ temples.
There are several interesting sights in the vicinity of Sharya. This is the Nikolo-Transfiguration Church, located in the village of Nikolo-Sanga. It was built from wood at the beginning of the 19th century. And later it was supplemented with a stone bell tower and a beautiful fence. A cemetery with a prayer house is located near it.
In the village of Rozhdestvenskoe, there is the spring of St. Barnabas Vetluzhsky, which is believed to have healing water. Even during the reign of the Soviets, believers came here from all over the country. Attempts were often made to fill the source or fill it with concrete. But the water still came out. Nowadays, the wonderful spring has been renewed and improved. A chapel appeared nearby.
Not far from the spring there is an architectural monument - the Lagunin estate. Until now, only a park and an old pond have survived from the old estate. Access to the territory of the attraction is free.
One of the most important cultural sites of the city is the Museum of Local Lore.
It is a branch of the Kostroma Museum-Reserve. The institution was opened in 1971. Today, its funds include over 9000 items of storage. The largest collection of the museum is the collection of photographs. Among them, an important part is occupied by Maltsevsky's album, in which you can see vivid illustrations of the life of the military during the First World War. The collection of weaving products, samples of carpentry, cooper's, pottery, wooden dishes, and tools is also unique.
If it is not yet possible to go to the Kostroma region to get acquainted with its sights in more detail, Sharya's webcams will allow you to see this city, its streets and character virtually.
