Phuket is located in the south of Thailand. This island is considered the largest and most amazing of all the islands in the country. For travelers, there is a huge selection of accommodations, entertainment centers, chic boutiques and, of course, luxurious and clean beaches. Also in Phuket there are a lot of unique monuments of history, culture and nature.
One of the main attractions of the resort is the Big Buddha statue located at the peak of Nakkerd Hill. The 45 m high composition is covered with snow-white Burmese alabaster and can be viewed from almost any part of the island. Bells hang around the statue, creating a melodic chime and unique energy of this place. After visiting the sanctuary, you can climb the plateau, from where you can see, at a glance, Chalong Bay and several local beaches.
By the way, Bang Tao is considered one of the best beaches in Phuket. It is also one of the longest beaches on the island, with a length of 8 km. The coast is strewn with nacreous fine sand, and cozy bungalows and rooms in the luxurious Laguna Hotel are rented for guests. Several clubs open onto the beach. The entire beach complex creates a relaxed atmosphere and disposes to a comfortable, "lazy" rest.
Among the most picturesque places in Phuket is Promthep Cape, which offers breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea. In addition to the observation deck, here you can see a unique elephant temple and an interesting structure that resembles a lighthouse on one side and a giant crab on the other.
The recommended time to visit the cape is evening. In the evening, buses come here with those who want to see a unique sunset. If you want to retire, a narrow fishing trail leading up the hill will help you to take a break from the crowds of tourists, from where you can also see the sun setting over Thailand.
Another, perhaps the most beloved beach in Phuket, which is known among the local population, is called Nai Khan. It is located not far from Cape Promthep and bends in a graceful semicircle, reminiscent of a golden-white moon floating through turquoise waters. The beach is surrounded by exotic thickets and is considered one of the best in the south of the island.
