The ski resort is located on the southeast of the Bulgarian coast. From the airport in Sofia to Bansko is about a hundred and sixty kilometers of travel. The ski center is located at an altitude whiter than two kilometers above sea level. The mountain Pirin itself is considered alpine by the relief.
The highest point of the ski complex is the peak of Wikhren, which is at an altitude of three kilometers above sea level. The UNESCO World Organization has added the Pyrin Reserve to the list of significant natural sites.
The ski infrastructure is well developed, the slopes are assessed as quality. All season they are held by two-meter snow cover. During the New Year and Christmas holidays near the main station of the lift in the morning the queues of skiers are so long that they have to stand for two hours.
