The complex consists of several 20-storey houses, which allows you to enjoy a magnificent view of the area.
Adler, whose webcams are available on the site, is part of Greater Sochi and borders on Abkhazia in the southeast.
The very name of the city from the Abkhazian language is translated as a pier. The modern history of this settlement dates back to 1837, when Russian soldiers stormed the cape of the same name. Already on June 18, the military began to build fortifications of the fortress. Over time, she was given the name Konstantinovskoe. This fort was considered one of the most fortified in the Black Sea and was often attacked.
In 1866, Alexander II issued a Decree on the settlement of the Black Sea region. Peasants and small landowners began to come here in search of a "better" life. At the same time, for many, the local climate and conditions in general were not easy, but this did not prevent the creation of 20 courtyards here. All residents were from Kamenetz-Podolsky province. By the end of the XIX century. there were more than a hundred permanent residents.
Adler, whose webcams allow you to enjoy picturesque landscapes in real time, began to develop rapidly at the beginning of the 20th century.
The population increased and the territory expanded. At this time, a brick and tanneries appeared, there was a hospital, a parish school, and even a cinematograph. One of the developing industries was the cultivation of tobacco, which was mainly carried out by Armenians and Greeks.
By 1915, the city had noticeably improved. There were already more than 100 trading establishments, several hotels, shipping companies, customs, etc. In spring and autumn, large fairs were held, which attracted merchants from all over the region. In addition, at that time, the Krasnopolyanskoe highway, connecting the city and Krasnaya Polyana, had already been put into operation.
Of course, the climate and developing infrastructure contributed to the development of the resort here. At the end of the XIX century. a special commission arrives here to investigate Sochi, Matsesta, the Krasnaya Polyana region and Adler. Live webcams allow you to plunge into the atmosphere of a seaside town. Upon completion of the research work, they concluded that this was the "Russian Riviera". After that, Russian princes, merchants and cultural figures began to buy land here.
Adler received city status in 1922, and twelve years later a district was formed where the agricultural industry was actively developing. Also, the sanatorium-resort direction began to transform and expand. If in 1934 there were only 3 health resorts, then after 2 years there were 79 of them.
