Pskov webcam with a view of the intersection of Vokzalnaya and Jan Fabricius streets.
The lens covers the road junction from a height. Sidewalks, house parking, shops are adjacent to the roadbed. The broadcast is conducted in real time.
The main attraction of ancient Pskov, whose webcams can be viewed online on this site, is the Pskov Krom (Kremlin).
Its territory occupies 3 hectares and includes many architectural and religious monuments.
The fortress has a powerful wall, the height of which in some places reaches 8 meters, and the thickness is 6 meters. The structure was erected in the XII century. The center of the fortress was a square surrounded by cathedrals, temples, administrative buildings. Adjacent to them were guest houses, warehouses, a bell tower.
Of the 40 massive towers that guarded Krom, only seven have survived to our time. The oldest of them is called Kutekroma. It has a height of 30 meters, and at its foot in the XIX century there was a gazebo in which A. S. Pushkin liked to relax.
Pskov Krom is among the TOP 10 main symbols of the country, and together with the buildings is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The main object in the architectural ensemble of Krom is the Trinity Cathedral. The structure that can be seen now is already the fourth in a row at this place. The first, wooden, was destroyed by fire. The second one collapsed. The third, despite the stone walls, completely lost its interior decoration during a new fire.
But not only natural disasters befell the fate of the shrine. During the rule of the Bolsheviks, an anti-religious museum was placed in the walls of the temple. But during the Second World War, divine services were resumed here and never stopped.
Many Orthodox shrines are kept within the walls of the Trinity Cathedral. These are the relics of the local blessed Nikola Salos, who, as they say, saved many residents of Pskov from the wrath of Ivan the Terrible. And also a miraculous icon of the Mother of God with a piece of her Veil.
But not only the ancient Pskov can boast of Chrome. A stunning landscaped embankment stretches along the Velikaya and Pskov rivers. Walking along it, you can admire the colorful Kremlin, as well as picturesque views of local nature. After all, there are no shops, no restaurants, no street food tents. Only the murmur of water, the fragrance of the greenery of numerous trees and the grandeur of the fortress walls.
If visiting these places is not included in the plans, Pskov webcams, which can be viewed online on this site, will allow you to get to know the ancient city closer.
And, perhaps, decide on the direction for the next weekend.
