In 1956, the famous Soviet film "Old Man Hottabych" was even filmed on the territory of the sanatorium. This is not surprising, because stone stairs, arches, viewing platforms, decorative elements against the backdrop of chic vegetation simply amaze with their beauty.

This two-story building was built in 1955. It also embodied the features of the monumental style of the Stalin era, despite the fact that it was completed under Nikita Khrushchev. In the center of the seaport there is a tower with a spire, which is made of stainless steel. Its total height is 74 m, and the spire is 38 m. On the tiers of the tower there are also sculptures that personify the seasons and cardinal points. Nearby is a fountain and a square. The building has the most spectacular and memorable view from a distance, especially when viewed from the sea or the new passenger terminal.
Inside the Marine Station there are shops and cafes. In the central part there is a waiting room and a rest room. In 2014, the interior space was restored. The decoration used marble and precious woods. Decorative elements are made of bronze. The walls are decorated with various panels, mosaics and sculptures.
