Daxi Bridge (overview). Webcams Taoyuan

The Taoyuan webcam broadcasts various views of the Daxi Suspension Bridge in real time.

The structure is located above the Dahan River. It was built in 1934. Initially, it was made of bamboo and wood, but due to several typhoons, it was rebuilt. The last time it was in 2001. You can walk across the bridge only on foot or by bike.

Zhongzheng Park in Taoyuan, whose webcams are available on the site, is considered one of the most visited attractions.

The park appeared at the beginning of the last century and was designed in accordance with the urban planning of the Model City. The Taiwanese shape of the parka symbolizes a staunch patriotism that refused to bow to Japaneseization. In 1975, it was renamed Zhongzheng Park in memory of Chiang Kai-shek.
This natural landmark consists of four squares. The largest is the Sailboat Square. It is located at the beginning, so it is considered an ideal place to enjoy the scenic view of the Daxi Bridge. Here is a statue that symbolizes the anti-Japanese spirit with the main sculpture of Chiang Kai-shek on a horse.
Attractive is the sumo wrestling ring in the center of the park, which is a wooden pavilion of the Tang Dynasty. The simple architectural design was created by local carpenters. The beams and pillars are made of solid wood without any nails, showing exquisite carpentry workmanship. The aerodynamic roof is covered with black copper tiles. The nostalgic Japanese style, along with the scent of wood, makes people remember the former glory of this sport.
Hidden among the blossoming Zhongzheng Park, Daxi Temple is the first shrine built in Taoyuan. Webcams allow you to enjoy a walk around the city in real time. The original worship hall and main hall were demolished after Taiwan's retrocession. The remaining base of the shrine was reconstructed into the Chaoran pavilion. The stone tables and chairs in the park are also remnants of the shrine, with vague "kanji" carvings.
The Fushin Pavilion is another area left with a mention of the Japanese. In 1930, many Japanese policemen died during the oppression of the Atayals. Then the Hsinchu prefectural authorities erected a memorial monument with the inscription "Faithful Souls". After the demolition of the monument, a Chinese pavilion was built on the original cornerstone.
