Among the notable objects of Suoyarvi is the city library, located in the center of the city in an interestingly shaped building with a round ledge. The structure is made in the tradition of Finnish functionalism with elements of constructivism. The institution appeared here in the 80s of the last century.

There are many monuments dedicated to those who died during the last wars in the city and in its surroundings. It was here, in the area of the river Colla, during the Finnish and World War II were the bloodiest battles.
