Webcams Simeiz online - resorts of the Crimean coast

Simeiz webcams, which you can watch online on this site in real time, will allow you to enjoy the views of this unique corner of the planet, regardless of the landscape and weather outside the window.
Simeiz is a small resort village in the south of the Crimean coast. It is surrounded by majestic mountains and the Black Sea. Tourists love this resort for its stunning nature, variety of landscapes, and multifaceted history.
Many consider Simeiz a unique health resort, where the air is filled with healing salts of the sea, as well as essential oils of pine needles and medicinal plants. For others, the village is valuable as an inexhaustible source of archaeological artifacts. After all, people have inhabited these lands since time immemorial. Here you can also get acquainted with wonderful architectural monuments - luxurious villas, summer cottages, mansions, parks, which were built here several centuries ago.

But first of all, Simeiz is loved for the beauty of its views, which are provided by rocky mountain peaks and natural parks.

One of the most beautiful natural objects of the southern coast of Crimea is Mount Cat, which has become a symbol of Simeiz and even appears on its coat of arms. In the language of the Crimean Tatars, Kosh-Kaya means "steam mountain". The name "cat" was later renamed by the locals. And this is not only due to the fact that it is consonant with the original toponym. The outlines of the mountain really resemble the silhouette of a cat, which, as if clung to the water and froze here forever.
Along with the unusual shape and picturesque views opening from the top of Kosh-kay, rare conifers grow here - Crimean pine and junipers, as well as a unique strawberry tree. Here you can also see the remains of a medieval Taurus fortress, as well as the largest burial ground on the peninsula. For more than 50 years, Mount Cat has been considered a protected area.

An interesting geoformation is the Diva rock, which is also considered the hallmark of Simeiz and is depicted on his coat of arms.

Once this giant block broke off from the Crimean mountains and fell into the water. This name was given to the rock because of its resemblance to a woman's head thrown back to the sky. The rock is connected to the coast by a narrow rocky path, so you can reach it on foot. A legend is connected with this place, which tells that an evil spirit once lived here, which tempted a hermit monk living nearby, turning into a beautiful girl.
The highlight of the resort village is its unique park. This is one of the most picturesque and largest objects of its kind on the entire peninsula. Its territory covers about 10 hectares. Well-groomed trees surrounded by picturesque landscapes, fountains, flower beds and benches - all this is conducive to pleasant walks and the creation of excellent photographs. Along with natural areas, there are bicycle and roller skate rental points, children's and sports grounds, attractions, catering establishments. In the evening, discos and concerts are held in the park.
The warm, subtropical climate that is characteristic of this part of Crimea makes most of the plants green all year round. Even in December, you can see flowers and lush crowns of palm trees here.
In total, about 70 cultures grow on the territory of the park in Simeiz, many of which were brought from exotic countries. The largest juniper grove is also located here. A walk through the park will not only be pleasant, but also healthy.

Another such recreational area is the Cypress Alley in Simeiz.

This location is often called the Apollo Alley for the presence of snow-white antique statues that adorn the wide pedestrian zone with benches, fountains and flower beds. The main feature of the alley is a huge number of tall relict cypresses, which were planted by officer Maltsev at the beginning of the 20th century.
Saplings of pyramidal cypress trees were brought here from Italy and perfectly settled down in a new place, in contrast to the statues. The original sculptures have not survived; in their place were installed copies depicting the heroes of Greek myths - Dionysus, Apollo and Hercules. On the site of the fourth, destroyed sculpture, there is nothing today. An empty plinth is used for photo sessions.
Also, on the territory of Simeiz and its immediate environs, one can observe luxurious villas that were built at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries. The first - the villa "Xenia" was built before the revolution in an eclectic style, which has absorbed the features of Scottish chalets and elements of the neo-Gothic.
The second villa, called "Dream", has features of Moorish and Arabian architecture. Its high tower resembles a minaret and harmoniously fits into the surrounding landscape, evoking the feeling of being in an oriental fairy tale.

For those who cannot yet go to Crimea, but want to take a break from the everyday hustle and bustle, Simeiz's webcams, which can be watched online in real time, will allow them to brighten up their leisure time or simply escape from the routine by plunging into the atmosphere of this magical place.
