Garrilucas Beach, also known as the White Shore, is located near Old Cape Kinsale, about 40 km south of Cork. It is a beach marked with the Blue Flag, with a large clear white sand and grassy dunes. The beach is surrounded on both sides by rocky cliffs.
Harrilucas Beach is popular with kitesurfers, surfers and other water sports. Kitesurfing on this beach is good with the wind direction from south to west (although if the wind is blowing from the south, local kitesurfers usually prefer Harbour View/Coolmain beach just 5 km to the west). During the summer months on the beach there are lifeguards and clean sand make this place also popular with tourists lovers to swim. The water quality was rated as excellent.
