The City Of Vladivostokis one of the most picturesque, and, even though at a considerable distance from the center of the country – one of the most attractive for tourists. Industrial facilities, with its industrial, solid and more angular buildings and structures, intricately intertwined with graceful old architecture of Vladivostok, which lies among the amazing natural beauty of the areas many hills, bays, forests and Islands. In this incredible urban landscape harmoniously woven parks, gardens, monuments, fountains, modern bridges, residential buildings and the piers. Vladivostok is a relatively young city, however, despite his young age, the city has something to boast about and to show to even the most discerning of travelers. As already mentioned, the most outstanding element in the city's stylistically diverse architecture. Especially amazing and motley appear to be the architectural appearance of the Central part of the city. There are Catholic churches and Orthodox chapels, stone houses in the style of medieval merchant houses, built in a lush ancient style, and numerous buildings, built in features of Soviet classicism. The very first street which was built in 1861, is the street Svetlanskaya, named in honor of the crew of the frigate "Svetlana", who participated in the construction of this street, stretching along the coast of the main city of the Bay –
Golden Horn. In the same period, there were erected the first buildings, which have retained their original, colorful appearance to the present day. Among these buildings the most remarkable is the post office, richly decorated with arched Windows, carved pilasters, corbel arches, and very reminiscent of the fabulous Russian Terem. For this same period is the impressive building of the Vladivostok Gum, which is the oldest shop in the city, and in the style of German modernism, of the Hamburg materials specially brought here. Another colorful street is a street of Ave. Fokina is a favorite place for walking residents and guests of the city. Here there are beautiful buildings of pre-revolutionary era, fountains and antique street lamps, as well as many old-fashioned cafes, shops and restaurants. And, of course, is imperative to mention the historic street im. A. S. Pushkin, where are located such prominent monuments, as Pushkin theatre, Polytechnic Institute, and the Gothic Church of SV. Paul, as well as many old mansions. One of the most memorable buildings in Vladivostok is the train station to meet and escort their residents every day. The building was built in the days of the young Tsarevich Nicholas II, and, after a long reconstruction of the Soviet era, restored to its original, pre-revolutionary appearance in our time.
