Its buildings occupy the right bank of The Wach in the place of the flow of the Okunevka River.
Administratively, it is part of the Khanta-Mansi Autonomous Region - Yugra and occupies a position on the eastern edge of the region. Iludinsk is under the control of the Nizhnevart district. It is separated from the district center by a distance of 17 km.
