Jåttå station ( Norwegian : Jåttå holdeplass ) is a railway station located at Jåttå in Stavanger , Norway . The station is served by the Jæren railway transport between Stavanger and Egersund . The station is located 6.5 kilometres South of Stavanger and was used as an additional stop for the trains during football games at the stadium Viking. The station was opened along with the football stadium in 2001, but was closed on 6 January 2008, when it was replaced by the nearby station Jåttåvågen , the first part of the new double track between Stavanger and Sandnes .
