Raevsky's webcam opens the view from the side of the house on Gagarin Street, 20.
The lens captures a small area with shops, a pedestrian crossing, a road junction. The camera broadcasts live, so everyone can watch the life of the city, the weather and the situation in real time.
Raevsky, whose webcams are available online on this site, is a seemingly inconspicuous Bashkir village.
Nevertheless, this direction has its advantages and will be able to please travelers with the beautiful nature that the entire Alsheevsky district has, as well as interesting sights.
The main part of the remarkable objects is located not in Raevsky itself, but in the neighboring settlements of the Alsheevsky district, the center of which is the overlooked village. This, for example, is the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, or St. Nicholas Church in the village of Shafranovo. Historians have not yet established the exact date of the construction of this object. According to some assumptions, the temple appeared here at the beginning of the last century.
The history of this temple is amazing in its own way. After all, it was built by a representative of one of the oldest and richest French families - Albert de Gass. At one time, he was so fascinated by the picturesque expanses of the Russian hinterland that he decided to purchase an estate on the territory of the present Alsheevsky district. It was here that the Frenchman married and lived for several years. After the Revolution, the de Gass family was forced to leave Russia. The temple itself suffered a sad fate, which was not uncommon for religious buildings in that era.
Daughter Albert de Gassa Irene, already being an adult woman, often recalled her childhood spent in Shafranovo, as well as the temple. On her deathbed, she bequeathed to her nephew to find out the fate of the church, if he finds during his lifetime the times when repression against religion will stop in Russia.
At the beginning of the 21st century, a letter came to Bashkortostan through the French embassy from the same nephew of Irene, who at that time was a professor at the French Catholic University. In a letter to Monsieur André Sarazen, de Gass offered to contribute to the restoration of the shrine. Unfortunately, he was terminally ill and managed to donate only a small amount. However, the Aksakov Foundation decided to add the necessary funds and cast a bell for the temple, which became a kind of tribute to the memory of the French family.
The finished bell weighed 90 kg. And on the bell tower of the same temple, which is now restored, there is a memorial inscription about the de Gass family, who lived in Shafranovo in 1910-1917 and selflessly loved Russia.
For those who cannot yet visit these places in person, it is recommended to watch Raevsky's webcams online.
