The most famous attraction of Pitkyaranta is the Museum of Local Lore. V.F. Sebin, opened in 1969 as the Museum of Military Glory, thanks to the activities of the Red Rangers under the leadership of Sebin. In 1991, the museum was given the status of local history. It is housed in the house (built in 1920) of the pharmacist Walden and is a historical monument of Finnish architecture of the first half of the 20th century. The exposition consists of several sections. For example, "Winter War on the Territory of Pitkyaranta District", "Legends of Pitkyaranta Stones", "Beregini Dolls", "Animals and Birds of the Ladoga Region" and others.
In the city, you can walk along the streets and take photos of monuments, churches and other places that are attractive to tourists. In 1998, a wooden building was built here, where a Lutheran church settled.
The most popular leisure activities in Pitkäranta are going out into the countryside, hunting, fishing and attending cultural events such as concerts by local folklore ensembles.
