Florida Keys archipelago, a chain of coral Islands and reefs in the South-Eastern United States. The total area of the Islands is 355,6 km2. Consists of approximately 1,700 Islands and reefs that begins at the southeastern tip of the Florida Peninsula, about 25 kilometers from Miami; and a further arc to the West. The Islands lie along the Florida Straits, forming the Eastern boundary of the Gulf of Mexico, and the southern boundary of Florida Bay.
