The city of Kaspiysk, Russia, located on the South of Russia, in the Republic of Dagestan. The city was founded on the shores of the Caspian sea. Until 1947 the village was called Dvigatelstroy.
In 1939 the residents of the village appealed to the Supreme Council of Dagestan with a request to give the village the status of a city and rename it Stalinist. The Council, the proposal was rejected. The greater number of the residents of Kaspiysk is Muslim, which is based 4 mosques, despite the majority, the town also involved the Protestant community.
Anji arena is located in the city of Kaspiysk, previously called the stadium "Khazar". Stadium "Khazar" was opened in a solemn ceremony on 22 June 2003. The opening ceremony began with a football match of the club "Terek" and Krasnodar "Kuban". In this fight was a draw with the score 1-1.
March 1, 2013, the certification Committee of the RFU made a decision on issuing a stadium certificate of authenticity and rename it to "Anji Arena". At the opening of the arena was a full house concert at the stadium with the participation of Russian stars looked 30 thousand people.
Back in 2011, with the arrival of the new owner of the club, it was decided to undertake the reconstruction of the stadium. The stadium capacity after the reconstruction is 30 thousand jobs.
