The most interesting and truly monumental is the “Shot Wagon” monument. It is part of the architectural composition "Line - line of defense". It is located on the northeast coast of the Tsemess Bay. This memorial is dedicated to the events of 1942-1943, when German troops wanted to break into the Caucasus.
In the autumn of 1942, the soldiers, together with local residents and factory workers, built barricades, one of the parts of which was a railway freight car. Historians believe that for some time he served as the headquarters for the 305th Marine Battalion, and after that the soldiers decided to use it as protection. Due to heavy shelling, nothing remained on it except the frame. The defense at this place continued until the autumn of 1943. It was during this period that Novorossiysk was completely liberated.

"Line of Defense" - a huge hinged reinforced concrete structure located above the road. It stretched across the Sukhumi highway. When moving towards Gelendzhik, you can see a granite board with several large male hands clutching machine guns. This place was not chosen by chance, and precisely because the Soviet troops were defending here. This memorial ensemble as a whole demonstrates the courage of the troops of the defense line, who, at the cost of their lives, did not let the Nazis deep into the country.
