And on the neighboring Oktyabrsky Avenue you can see the Church of St. Basil on the Hill, which was built in the XV century by the russified German merchant Christopher Dole. He converted to Orthodoxy and was baptized with the name Basil. Over the past seven centuries, the temple has been rebuilt more than once, but has retained its original appearance.
