Puerto Mogan is located in the southwestern part of Gran Canaria, an island belonging to the Canary archipelago. Those who have been here once admit that this place is the warmest and sunniest on the whole island, and will certainly return here again.
There is everything for a good rest - a wonderful clean beach, a calm ocean, good weather, an abundance of natural attractions, restaurants, shops and hotels for every taste.
The city beach is equipped with all the necessary infrastructure. There are changing cabins, showers, toilets, beach cafes and bars, sun loungers and umbrellas rentals. Here you can also rent diving, kayaking and surfing equipment, rent a boat or catamaran and go fishing on the high seas. Fine sand and smooth descent into the water allow you to comfortably and safely spend your holidays in Puerto Mogan with small children.
After enjoying the sun and sea baths, you can go for a walk along the city streets. Here you can find a huge number of shops, real estate agencies, catering establishments. However, the setting is quite quiet, without the hassle and crowds of tourists.
The city center is built up with neat snow-white buildings with colored window frames, blooming exotic trees and palms. Houses on opposite sides of narrow streets are connected by arches, on top of which are flowers and climbing plants. All of this can be a stunning backdrop for memorable photos.
It is noteworthy that until the end of the last century, Puerto Mogan was a run-down fishing village, to which no one cared. Everything changed radically with the arrival of the brilliant architect Rafael Neville, who turned the nondescript village into a real tourist oasis, where everyone will find a corner for their soul.
There are several hotels and apartments for guests of the resort to choose from. Cheaper accommodation can be found on the slopes of the mountain. Living by the sea will cost more.
In addition to the beach in Puerto Mogan, you can visit the old port, where luxury yachts, boats and liners are moored. Here you can order a boat trip along the coast of the island, rent a small boat for fishing or swimming in the open sea.
In addition to observing beautiful ships, here you can see schools of fish scurrying under the water. The water in this part of the water area is very clear.
From the port along the coast there is a well-maintained embankment, which overlooks the terraces of numerous cafes. This is where you can pleasantly end your day in Puerto Mogan.
