Online broadcast of the city of Dobrich, the district of Dobrotitsa. Dobrich is the regional center, the central city of the Dobrich region of Bulgaria. It is the easternmost Bulgarian regional centre.
The city is located 40 km from the Black Sea coast. The nearest Black Sea resorts, to which there are direct roads - Albena and Balchik. The city of Dobrich is located above sea level on the so-called Dobrujan plateau.
By Bulgarian standards, Dobrich is a rather large city. Not just a provincial town, but a regional center and the 9th largest settlement in the whole country (about 90,000 people).
From the point of view of the Russians, the size of the city, of course, is not very impressive. But it is a full-fledged regional center, with all the attributes, first of all - the offices of all Bulgarian state institutions, from the migration service to the registration body of legal entities.
Between 1949 and 1990, the town of Dobrich was named Tolbukhin. This is reflected in the designation of this region on car license plates: although the name has changed, so far the designation of the Good region of TC. It is a quiet and peaceful town, looks clean and tidy. Although mostly the sidewalks here are not in the best condition, the center is repaired. At the end of 2013, restoration work began in the park, cozy and beautiful.
Dobrich is Bulgaria's largest agricultural production centre. Here are the most fertile lands in the country. No wonder the region is called "Glatna Dobruja" - here are grown wheat, sunflower, corn, canola. The city produces natural dairy products, sausages, baked goods. With the gifts of gardens and vegetable gardens, things are also good, the residents of the city are not threatened with vitamins. Another advantage of the city is the beautiful ecology. There are no large industrial enterprises, factories and harmful industries in Dobrich.
Unlike cities located on the coast or at the foot of the mountains, Dobrich is quite safe in terms of various natural disasters, it is not threatened (even potentially) by tsunamis and mudflows, and earthquakes are almost non-life. In 2014, there was flooding in the city, but there was no serious destruction and casualties (for comparison: in neighboring Varna, more than 10 people died during the flooding).
The city has a theatre, an art gallery, several museums and many monuments. With children you can go to a small zoo or rides in the park, adults will be interested to visit the ethnographic complex "Old Dobrich." It was on the territory of Dobruji that the oldest gold jewelry in Europe was found - some of them are on display in the city museum.
