Holy resurrection Cathedral — an Orthodox Church in Brest. The Cathedral was built in the district of East in 1995 in honor of the Victory in the great Patriotic war. It is the largest religious structure in the city and one of the largest in the country. At the same time in the Cathedral can be up to 5,000 members. One of the leaders and inspirer was Archpriest Eugene (Parfenyuk), WWII veteran. The Cathedral was consecrated by Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Alexy II, after which it began to hold regular services. In 2001, the Cathedral was fitted with a 400-pound bell.
