In the early 70-ies of XX century in the center of Severodonetsk appeared Victory square, where a stele in memory of the soldiers of the great Patriotic war. Height of the stele, which we see in one of the chambers, 15 meters. Square decorated with a fountain of long, elongated along the Central Avenue. In the southern part of the area crossed by Mayakovsky street immediately behind which was built according to standard Soviet-designed Ice sports Palace for 5,000 spectators. Since the mid 90-ies of the Victory square was the main place in the city where public events are held — festivals, holidays, fairs, and exhibitions. The area is especially popular with residents on summer days when it's manned by a Park of children's attractions and its main decoration is the fountain. As you can see, from the busy Central Avenue area separated by thickets of tall trees and shrubs. It turns out a kind piece of nature in the city centre. In front of the stele via Guards Avenue, the main shopping complex in the World — the main shopping complex of Severodonetsk.
