Cozy square in the city centre is divided between Severodoneck Collegium and the city House of culture. The square appeared in the city in the middle of the last century. In 1957, a monument to the great writer Nikolai Gogol, named in his honor and square. We look at the Park from the East. In the center of the frame is visible bronze sculpture of Gogol, located on a high pedestal of red granite. A figure wrapped in a cloak, is depicted in movement. From the monument in different directions diverges 8 of paved walkways, and around the sculpture built a small circular area. In the Park periodically hosts themed evenings, where citizens read the best works of the classics. Today the Park is in good condition. Recently it was restored after years of neglect at the initiative of local activists. The reconstruction was completed in 2012.
