Sarajevo live webcam allows you to see Mount Trebevič.

The broadcast allows you to view the peak and enjoy the picturesque view.

To the south of the Old Town in Sarajevo, whose webcams are available online on the site, there is Mount Trebevič.

We can confidently say that it has become an integral part of the city. The peak is located at an altitude of 1629 m above sea level, and in the east it connects with Mount Jahorina. It is about 12 km from the city center, you can walk to the lift in about an hour and thirty minutes.
The exact origin of the name of the mountain is unknown, but it is assumed that in the region of these mountains there used to be an altar dedicated to one of the Slavic gods. During the old century, the slopes of these mountains were inhabited by the Illyrians, who founded the settlement. During the Ottoman period, there were numerous quarters towards Sarajevo.

In real time, webcams allow you to monitor what is happening on the streets of the city.

During the Austro-Hungarian rule, the importance of Trebevič increased dramatically, primarily from a military point of view, because the entire city was visible from its slopes, so several military fortifications were built here.
Over time, the importance of Trebevič as a resort increased. Increasingly, pedestrians can be seen on its slopes, and a new attraction appears in tourist guides. The first mountain house, and a hiking trail to it, were built in 1896 on a peak of 1627 m. During the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, the first climbing companies were created in Sarajevo, and after the Second World War, the construction of new tourist and recreational facilities began.

In 1948, the Faculty of Forestry in Sarajevo at the very top formed the botanical garden "Alpinetum" on 5 hectares of land.

Live webcams are available on the website. It is a floristic laboratory where endemic plant species are grown. Also at an altitude of 1566 m, not far from the summit, in 1975 a telecommunications tower 60 m high was built.
In 1982, a bobsleigh and sledding track was built on the mountain, which at that time was the most modern in the world. During the Bosnian war, they were badly destroyed, and then completely disappeared. Today, the former glory is gradually returning and this place is again in demand.
Favorable geographical position, altitude, mild climate and natural beauty have inspired love for Mount Trebevič in the hearts of nature lovers. On its slopes there is a unique harmony of urban and natural, and the whole space is characterized by great biodiversity.
