It was at this temple, located not far from the coast, that the Yevpatoriya landing force landed, whose task was to divert the German invaders from Sevastopol and Kerch. The soldiers knew that they were going to certain death, but still bravely fought the enemy. As a result of the battle, which lasted 3 days, out of 700 soldiers, only a hundred survived.

It was founded in the first half of the last century. An extensive collection was placed in an old noble mansion, where it is kept to this day. Here you can see a lot of unique artifacts related to history, natural history, archeology. The museum fund also includes the ancient settlement of Kerkinitida, which today is exhibited under a glass pyramid in the open air not far from the main department.
You can continue cultural education by visiting the theater. A. S. Pushkin. It was built at the beginning of the 20th century and began its history with the performance of the opera Ivan Susanin, in which the actors of the Mariinsky Theater took part. At various times, the audience of the Evpatoria theater saw such outstanding actors as Stanislavsky, Vakhtangov, Ranevskaya, Vysotsky on the stage. Today, the institution continues to delight audiences with modern and classic productions, often featuring celebrities.
