Victory square is a memorial complex eternal monument to soldiers killed during the liberation of Bobruisk in the summer of 1944 from fascist aggressors. She appeared in more than 25 years ago on the square named after Soviet commander B. baharova.
Memorial complex in memory of the inhabitants of Bobruisk, which during the great Patriotic war, fought under the banner of the 1st Belorussian front, located on the Victory square. In 1944 here were buried the commander of the 9th tank corps major General B. Baharov who participated in the liberation of Bobruisk from the Nazi invaders. After the war his grave was a monument - tank T-34 turret number 300 and guns with a caliber of 76 mm. tank and today you can see 10 stars – the number of enemy tanks destroyed by the commander during the great Patriotic war. On the square under the shade of three birch trees is also an unusual monument – a five-pointed star made of white marble. On one of its rays is engraved with the number 8 810. This is the number of people killed in Bobruisk during the great Patriotic war. In the centre of the memorial burns a symbolic metal flame...
In 1958, at the Victory square in memory of the fallen soldiers were set obelisks. In 1985 was the reconstruction of the memorial complex in Bobruisk. However, the monument to the military feat got its modern look only in 2005 - the 60th anniversary of Victory in the great Patriotic war. In place of the small square appeared spacious area eventually turned into one of the most beautiful places in Bobruisk. The author of the project was E. agunovich.
The center of the memorial composition was T-34 tank, which the authors of the project placed on a low, but broad pedestal. Next placed 6 slabs, black marble, under which are buried the remains of Soviet soldiers: major-General of tank troops Boris baharova, Lieutenant Colonel K. Vorobiev, Sergeant N. Barysheva, Lieutenant-Colonel and G. Logacheva, Lieutenant-Colonel A. Prybylski. Behind the monument is a decorative flower containers, swimming pool with lighting and benches original form. During the reconstruction of the Victory square was planted about 80 trees, including willow, birch, chestnut, and blue spruce.
