The main reason for which millions of tourists are ready to go on a long journey to the shores of Thailand is, of course, its magnificent beaches and excellent service.
One of the best beaches in Samui, Ao Phang Ka, is located in the southwestern part of the coast. It has an interesting feature - during low tides, the water goes over a long distance, exposing a spacious sandy plateau that reaches the horizon. This place provides excellent opportunities for diving, as well as admiring the sunsets, which in this part of the island give an unprecedented aesthetic pleasure. It is noteworthy that this place is not crowded, and the absence of a typical beach infrastructure will make you feel like on a desert island.
One of the most popular beaches in Koh Samui is Chaweng. Around the cozy coast with white sand and turquoise, transparent sea, a huge variety of hotels, restaurants and bars is concentrated. And, although it is often crowded here, the stunning panorama of the coast and delicious food will make you forget about everything in the world and not pay attention to others.
Nathon is one of the most photogenic beaches on Koh Samui. Here, as in Phang Ka, a large sandy plain opens up at low tide. And the abundance of boats moored at the pier and the shore will allow you to take interesting photos. However, this place is not very suitable for water procedures because of the muddy bottom.
Fans of secluded relaxation are recommended to visit Bang Po Beach, located in the northeastern part of Koh Samui. It is a long strip of coast covered with yellow sand and surrounded by dense thickets of palm trees. Here you can always find a refuge from the noise and the large number of tourists.
And, of course, it is impossible to imagine Thailand without its luxurious Buddhist temples. A real delight is the golden pagoda of the Khao Hua Juk temple, which is illuminated in the evening and can be clearly seen from different angles, as it is located on the top of the hill. You can get to the temple on foot or by scooter, turning up from Chaweng Lake.
Another stunning temple, Phu Khao Thong is a secluded hall, luxuriously decorated in gold, dark green and scarlet colors. An equally exquisite staircase with a railing in the shape of dragons leads to it, and inside the pavilions there are statues of a seated dark Buddha.
