Warsaw– a very beautiful European city with well-developed centuries-old culture. To the left of the Vistula, on the high banks is a historic part of the Polish capital's Old town, North of which lies a clear rectangle of streets in the New city. The main attraction of the historic part of Warsaw are the walls of the citadel, built in the XIV-XV centuries. To this period also belongs the Gothic building of the Catholic Church of St. John Nepomuk, in the cellars of which lie the sarcophagi of the Dukes of Mazovia, from the Church down the street where there are many unusual buildings with very narrow facades. Other structures of the Old city belong to later periods of development of architecture and lavishly decorated with paintings, sculptures and graffito. Another prominent landmark of Warsaw is the Royal castle, on the design which worked well-known architects. In our days, in one of the numerous chambers of the castle there is an exhibition of paintings from the Warsaw scenery, belonging to the brushes B. the Italian painter Canaletto, who worked in the XVIII century and is also directly involved in the creation of the Royal castle. On one of Warsaw streets is a chic, Baroque Palace ensemble of the Saxon axis, with the adjacent square and the picturesque Park. Another excellent example of Palace architecture of the XVIII century is the ensemble Lazienki, which, in addition to the lush of the building, included theatre and unique English Park. Among other architectural monuments recommended for visit are the palaces of the Polish magnates, located in the New town who are actively constructed in XVII-XVIII centuries. Here is another Royal Palace wilanów, as well as the Evangelical Church and Catholic Church of St. Anne. In the capital of the Polish state, held a long and flowery path of his story, you can find a great number of Museum institutions. Here there are more than fifty. A rich collection of artistic relics, gathered in the capital's National Museum, will not leave indifferent even the most discerning connoisseurs.
