The Avenue of Solidarity,is one of the main and longest streets in the cityWarsaw, Poland. The current title, street purchased in honor of imenovanih trade Union - "Solidarity". In fact, the streets of Solidarity previously consisted of some of the individual streets. After the war, it was decided to merge all of these streets, one Avenue. Then selected one name Swierczewski. The situation so happened that during the Warsaw uprising of ' 44 just the area in the city suffered more than any other. Therefore, after the war, the city authorities adopted a decision on the redevelopment, involving the unification of all the destroyed streets. The streets were connected by a tunnel located under the Castle area. The tunnel was dug by an open method, causing some architectural and historic buildings had to disassemble and then reassemble. One of these was placed a special pavilion with escalators, which were used to climb down. The walk of Solidarity known thanks to the numerous attractions situated throughout the street.
