It is noteworthy that due to the fact that Murmansk was founded on the eve of the October Revolution, its spiritual culture almost immediately fell out of favor with the new authorities. Only after the Victory in the Second World War, the Orthodox managed to get permission from the authorities to organize a church. It was an ordinary house that operated until the 80s. And in 1986, the consecration of the first Murmansk church in the name of St. Nicholas took place. The architectural appearance of this building looks modest, but refined. An interesting shade of stone from which the walls are made is complemented by laconic decor and blue and silver domes. Despite the fact that the temple is not considered an architectural monument, for believers it is of particular importance due to its appearance in difficult times for Orthodoxy.
The Catholic Church of the Archangel Michael has an interesting appearance. Its appearance is due to the fact that on the eve of the founding of the city, many exiled Poles and Lithuanians arrived on the Kola Peninsula. In the year when Murmansk was founded, about 4,000 representatives of the Catholic community lived on the territories of the Kola Peninsula. However, the Catholics received their temple almost a century later. After the collapse of the USSR, a revival of Catholicism began in Murmansk, and 10 years later, believers sent a request to the authorities to allocate territory for the church. So, in 2007, a Catholic church appeared in the city, made in the neo-Gothic style with an interesting layout, which is complemented by a laconic interior.

The beginning of the 20th century was marked for Murmansk by the construction of another Orthodox shrine.

This is the Church of the Savior on the Waters, which is part of the memorial complex for the dead sailors. The temple was built in the best traditions of ancient Russian religious architecture, reminiscent of Pskov and Novgorod examples.
The fourth stone temple of Murmansk - the Church of All Saints, just like the rest, appeared on the territory of the city already in modern times. Initially, believers gathered in its place right under the open sky. Later a small chapel was erected. And even later, thanks to charitable donations, which were collected for several years, a temple appeared. The unusual red color of the facades, complemented by white frames of arched windows and openings, gives the building splendor. On the territory near the temple there is a holy spring, there is a Sunday school. And from the platform at the temple offers a stunning view.
