Its main architectural and historical monument is the Oranienbaum complex. It is an open-air museum, which was founded by Count Menshikov and was gradually transformed, receiving more and more new palaces and other unique structures. The main and oldest building in Oranienbaum is the Menshikov Palace. This large-scale building, built in the Baroque style, is comparable in scope to Peterhof itself. Around the palace there is a wonderful garden that staggers the imagination with its picturesque views and decor.
After the prince lost his possessions, the future emperor Peter III received the land. He built on the territory of Oranienbaum a "funny fortress" for his games and a small palace. Although the building has a modest and laconic exterior, the interior is able to amaze guests with its luxury. Today unique examples of oriental art are exhibited here.
After Catherine the Great ascended the throne, another palace was erected here, built in the spirit of the then fashionable hobby for Chinese art.
There was also a roller coaster built here, from which a wonderful pavilion has survived to our time.
Separately, it should be said about the landscape gardening ensemble of Lomonosov, whose webcams can be viewed online. The first planting took place almost immediately after the Menshikov estate was built. The original layout had a symmetrical shape and European style. Today, professional designers of garden and park art are engaged in landscaping the garden. It was they who made sure that curly labyrinths of sheared bushes, flower beds that make up beautiful patterns, making the territory look like a magic carpet, appeared on the territory of the park.

But there is also the upper park, the territory of which reaches several kilometers, and passes next to the Menshikov palace. There are reservoirs, about 30 ancient bridges, as well as relict trees. Fine sculptures are scattered throughout the area. This part of the park is divided into two more zones, between which there is a natural border in the form of the Karasta River.
