The City Of Blagoveshchenskis one of the oldest in the far East. It is a beautiful city on the left Bank of the Amur river, with important institutions, interesting museums, wide squares and picturesque parks. The city was founded by the Cossack troops as an Outpost, and after this land was erected the first temple, the village became a village and later city status. The first wooden religious building was erected in honor of the Annunciation of the blessed virgin, hence the name of the future city. Modern Blagoveshchensk is a major port at the confluence of the rivers Amur and Zeya, a major transport hub, an important industrial, cultural and scientific center of the state. About the history and flavor of Blagoveshchensk tells a fascinating Regional Museum, which contains the rich exposition of the objects of history, archaeology, folk arts and crafts, artefacts, photographs and documents. The Museum building is an architectural and historical landmark. Once here was located one of the trading houses Kunst and Alberts. In the city is a unique Museum of Paleontology, where a rich collection of skeletal remains of dinosaurs of various kinds. It should also be noted that the outskirts of the city lies a Graveyard of dinosaurs, which is the most valuable natural and archeological monument. The city was built many magnificent buildings, which are monuments of architecture. For example – the pearl of Blagoveshchensk, an ancient triumphal arch, towering on the city's waterfront, which was timed to coincide with the arrival of the Imperial heir – Tsarevich Nicholas. Very picturesque are also Gothic building of the former Trading rows, where in our days there is a laboratory of research institutes, and the building of the railway station, designed in the eclectic style, which incorporates elements of modern and ancient architecture. Among the most important cultural institutions it should be noted the oldest in the Primorsky Krai Puppet theater, as well as Regional drama theatre, where performances were staged to the late nineteenth century. The town also has a number of unusual and very cute sculptures such as the bronze border guard, as well as the entrepreneur of the era of the 90s, or more simply – the Shuttle. Despite the remoteness of the region from the Central part of our country, Blagoveshchensk regularly visited by a large number of tourists.
